Maribor, 9. december 2013 – Sinoči je v mariborskem Kinu Udarnik potekala razglasitev zmagovalcev mednarodnega tekmovalnega programa kratkih animiranih filmov otrok in mladih Mali Slon / little elephant. Glavno nagrado je dobil film DEKLICA Z RDEČO KAPUCO mladih avtorjev iz Hrvaške. Z razglasitvijo zmagovalcev so se zaključili tudi prvi dnevi izobraževanja skozi animirani film – ENIMATION days 2013.

Mladi avtorji, stari 11 let, Ivana Žabčić, Nika Štok, Borna Rendulić, Maksim Kiš, Nika Božić, so se letos v Zaprešiču udeležili filmske delavnice v organizaciji Foto kino video kluba Zaprešič in ustvarili zmagovalni film. Ta bo za nagrado dobil 150 evrov, ki jih letos producentu za spodbudo pri naslednjih projektih podarja Ustanova Fundacija Sonda. Sicer pa glavna nagrada v tretjem letu programa Mali Slon v Zaprešič potuje že drugič. Preostali letošnji nagrajenci so filmi MIJAU 10 letne Paule Žanić v produkciji Filmsko-kreativnega studija Vanima iz Varaždina v kategoriji MINI; ŽEJNA ŽABA 8-12 letnih avtorjev v produkciji Camere-ETC iz Belgije v kategoriji MIDI in CENA 16-letnih avtorjev v produkciji hongkongškega kolidža S.T.F.A. Young Yau v programu MAXI.

Program Mali Slon / little elephant je ta vikend v Kinu Udarnik prikazal 91 kratkih animiranih filmov mladih avtorjev do 18. leta starosti iz 13-ih držav Sveta. Filmi so bili glede na starost avtorjev razvrščeni v tri kategorije: MINI (do 10. leta starosti), MIDI (11.-14. leta starosti) in MAXI (od 15.-18. leta starosti). Program je postal del širše platforme ENIMATION – education in animation, ki se je letos od 6.-8. decembra v Kinu Udarnik prvič predstavila očem javnosti.

„Dejstvo, da na naslov Malega Slona vsako leto prihaja več filmov iz vse večih držav potrjuje, da se ukvarjamo s področjem, ki je deležno vse več pozornosti tako v Sloveniji kot drugod po Svetu. Na naše veliko veselje pa kaže, da bo se bo ta trend nadaljeval tudi v prihodnje.“, je ob zaključku tretje edicije Malega Slona dejal izvršni producent Rene Puhar.

V okviru ENIMATION days 2013 so si lahko obiskovalci poleg animiranih filmov mladih avtorjev, ogledali še filme, ki so nastali v okviru programa SNEMAMO!, ki je potekal pod okriljem Evropske prestolnice mladih, prisluhnili seminarju o izobraževanju v animiranem filmu in okrogli mizi o pomenu filmskega izobraževanja mladih ter prisostvovali otvoritvi razstave stripa ŽIVA SEM! Maribor, December 9th, 2013 – Last night, in cinema Udarnik in Maribor the award ceremony of the international competition programme of short animated films made by children and youth Mali Slon / Little Elephant took place. 1st prize was awarded to the film THE GIRL WITH THE RED HOOD, created by young authors from Croatia. The award ceremony also closed the first days of education through animated film – ENIMATION days 2013.

Young authors, aged 11, Ivana Žabčić, Nika Štok, Borna Rendulić, Maksim Kiš, and Nika Božić took part in this year’s film workshops in Zaprešič, organised by Foto kino video klub Zaprešič. There they created the winning film. The prize is 150 euro, which is this year awarded to the producer by Foundation Sonda to encourage further projects. In three years of the programme Little Elephant, this is already the second time the main prize went to Zaprešič. Other winning films are: in category MINI, MEOW by 10-year-old Paula Žanić, produced by Filmsko-kreativni studio Vanima from Varaždin; in category MIDI, THIRSTY FROG by authors aged between 8 and 12, produced by Camera-ETC from Belgium; and in category MAXI, PRICE by 16-year-old authors, produced by S.T.F.A Young Yau College in Hong Kong.

This past weekend in cinema Udarnik, the programme Mali Slon / Little Elephant showed 91 short animated films created by young authors up to 18 years old, from 13 countries around the globe. According to the age of the authors, films were grouped into three categories: MINI (up to 10 years of age), MIDI (aged between 11 and 14 years), and MAXI (aged between 15 and 18 years). The programme became a part of a larger platform ENIMATIONeducation in animation, which was introduced to the public for the first time this year between December 6th and 8th in cinema Udarnik.

At the end of the third edition of Little Elephant, the executive producer of the programme Rene Puhar stated: “The fact that each year more films from more countries arrive to the Little Elephant’s address shows that we are involved in a field that is getting increasing attention in Slovenia as well as abroad. We are very happy to notice that this tendency will continue in the future.”

Along with short films by young authors, at ENIMATION days 2013, the visitors could also see films that were created as a part of the programme WE RECORD! (SNEMAMO!). This programme was sponsored by the European Youth Capital. Additionally, the visitors had a chance to hear a lecture on education in animated film and a round table about the importance of film education for youth, and to see the opening of the exhibition of comics ŽIVA SEM! (I’M ALIVE!) by Andrej Štular.
